Envases Universales de México, SA PI de CV represents a group of businesses whose main objective is to serve the beverages, foods, paintings, and chemical industries with high quality and service levels.

Currently the Envases Universales Group is comprised by 27 plants and 6 distribution centers with approximately one million square meters, the group posseses strategically distributed locations in Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia and the US.

The PET division has 20 plants.
The aluminum division has 2 plants.
History
Zapata Envases our original company was founded in Mexico City on 1994 initiating operations with the steel division whose purpose was to produce three piece tin cans for the food industry, later on steel cans and polyethylene buckets for the paint and chemical industries where added.
Later that same year, the second company plant began operations in the city of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, producing two and three piece cans for the fish canning and vegetable canning industries.
In 1998 the PET division initiates operations producing bottles for the beverages industry.
Between the year 1998 and 2003 two more PET plants initiate operations producing PET bottles for the soft drinks industry; One located in Mazatlán, Sinaloa and another one in Apizaco, Tlaxcala.
In 2003 Envases Universales de México, SA PI de CV is acquired joining the group as the aluminum packages division.
Through new acquisitions by 2006 the continuous expansion reaches a total of fifteen plants producing 7,000,000,000 packages and 8,000,000,000 lids.
In 2008 Industrias Innopack is purchased and the total production capacity surpases the quantity of 11,000,000,000 packages a year.
